mattI tell people that the Black Hills trips was a bucket list trip, and it didn’t disappoint. But with the Bucket List idea in mind, I thought I’d share my Bucket List as it relates to travel. Feel free to give any feedback / suggestions. They are in no particular order, it’s a list not a ranking 🙂
- Grand Canyon
- Yellowstone National Park
- Rocky Mountain National Park
- Grand Tetons
- Yosemite
- Paris
- Barcelona
- Lisbon Portugal
- Hawaii
- Swiss Alps
- Cabo San Lucas
- Key West
That’s the list so far, and it’ll probably change over time. I think I’m going to shoot for The Grand Canyon next year. In the mean time I’ll continue to hit my tried and true spots. Oh that sounds like another great list. So here it is, here are my favorite places to go that’s within say 400 miles.
- Great Smokey Mountains
- Hocking Hills
- Damascus, VA
- Indiana Dunes
- Cranberry Glades, West Virginia
- Big South Fork National Recreation Area
- Stillwater River (blessed that this awesome river is practically in my back yard)
Well that’s enough lists for today.
I’m not familiar with Cranberry Glades in WV. What can you tell me about it? What part of the state, what particular attraction other than the whole state is gorgeous? (My family is from there.)
It’s outside of Hillsboro, WV. We’ve done some backpacking in the area, it’s just a large wildlife area.
i think it’s great you have your lists matt. helping look forward. hawaii is great, although different as a military family vs tourist. if i went back i would focus on islands other than oahu. loved the rockies. the florida keys have a very laid back unique vibe. love the smokies, love love hocking hills, and agree with you on the stillwater. don’t expect to ever see the grand canyon. will look forward to hearing about that :)) the nature lover in me would rank your cities last but i’m sure they are breathtaking!
