With the weather being so inviting, Cash and I got away for a quick overnight to Lake Hope and Hocking Hills. So here is some of what we did and saw.

Cash is ready to go.

We set out under a cloudless golden morning. Cash was all fired up and ready for a road trip. This dog loves to go for rides, he doesn’t care where we go, he just wants to go.

This is Cash while we’re driving down the road. He’s copilot I guess.

We had reservations at Lake Hope State Park, it’s a really neat place, with lots to do. We had our fishing gear with us, as well as planning on doing some hiking.

We got to Lake Hope early so we explored around the beautiful lake. We caught some nice blue gill and a lone largemouth bass.

The water was flat and perfect for those mirror images.
Home for the night.

Sunday after packing up camp we headed to Old Man’s Cave in Hocking Hills, for some hiking. This was one of Robyn and mine favorite places to escape to when dating. We would leave early on a Saturday, drive the 2 1/2 hours, hike and sight see, and then head home. It was good to spend sometime here, and think about those “good old” days.

Over all it was a gorgeous weekend, and much needed. I hope you were able to get out and enjoy this amazing weather.
